Seoul Exchange Partners with Story Protocol to Tokenize RWAs on Blockchain
Seoul Exchange, one of only two licensed platforms for trading unlisted securities in South Korea, has entered an exclusive partnership with Story Protocol to settle tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on its Layer-1 blockchain. The collaboration aims to unlock Korea's $450 billion crypto market, the world's second-largest by trading volume, by bringing programmable assets to the forefront.
For the first three years, Seoul Exchange will use Story's blockchain as the exclusive infrastructure for registering and settling tokenized assets. Transactions will be powered by Story's native token ($IP), creating a fully on-chain marketplace for previously illiquid assets. The focus will be on tokenizing Korean content IP, including K-pop royalties, K-drama rights, webtoons, games, and patents—making global cultural phenomena like BLACKPINK, BTS, Psy, and Pinkfong (Baby Shark) investable for the first time.
This strategic MOVE positions Seoul Exchange as a pioneer in compliant, digital securities infrastructure, bridging the gap between traditional finance and blockchain innovation.
